Microsoft is a large gaming publisher and developer. It is a multinational corporation that also licenses, manufactures, develops, and supports a wider variety of computerized and electronics.

[edit] Summary

Microsoft are the publishers of the hit game Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. In 2002, the Stamper brothers sold their 51% claim of Rare and Nintendo sold their 49% claim with Rare; Microsoft would purchase Rare for a total of $375 Million. [1]

Rare at the moment can only publish for Microsoft's X-Box 360 and any handheld that Rare chooses (seeing as Microsoft doesn't have a handheld console).
